Lose yourself in the Bashakill Wildlife Management Area, one of New York's largest freshwater wetlands, home to over 200 bird species. Drive Hawk's Nest on Route 97 — a serpentine cliff road above the Delaware that stops conversation mid-sentence. In fall, the whole valley ignites with color. In spring, the wetlands come alive with eagles and warblers. Every season here earns its keep.
